Notes: Services were held yesterday for John V. O. Palm, former vice president in charge of engineering and research of Cleveland Graphite Bronze Co., now a division of Clevite Corp., in Washington, Conn. Mr. Palm died Thursday at his home in Washington. He was 87. He set up Graphite Bronze's research department in 1923. Before his retirement in 1945, he was considered one of the top ranking scientists in the bearing industry. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Everett Parkinson, and two grandsons.
