Free one-on-one and/or group tutoring and homework help offered in partnership with Cleveland State University’s America Reads tutoring services and Case Western Reserve University. 

Monday through Thursday

4pm – 6pm (Tutoring is generally scheduled in 1-hour sessions). Contact your nearest tutoring locations for availability.

College Now Greater Cleveland

Impact!

Students in grades 9 through 12 will have the opportunity to complete online lessons, participate in virtual class activities and college & career exploration activities, take practice tests, receive help with college and scholarship applications & essays, and connect with an impact! Site Coordinator. The impact! team works toward enhancing ACT, SAT, or PSAT test-taking strategies, providing enrichment activities that complement students’ regular academic programming and giving students the necessary tools to prepare for postsecondary education.

Participants that complete the necessary elements of the eight-week program will earn a $200 stipend and be eligible for future college tours, internships, and more.

Scholarship opportunities

College Now has two types of scholarships: Traditional scholarships, for high school students served in schools by College Now advisors enrolling in college for the first time, and Adult Learner scholarships, for students age 19 and older who have discontinued their studies for one year or more and are interested in pursuing an associate’s degree, trade certificate, or first bachelor’s degree


Peterson’s Test and Career Prep (Library card required)

Peterson’s Test and Career Prep helps users prepare for higher education and the work world by providing access to specialized tests for college, graduate school, the military or trade school. (Apply for a Library card)

Career Tools

Take practice tests for civil service, military advancement exams or health exams such as NCLEX-RN. Create professional resumes using the Resume Builder; Research new career ideas using the Career Assessment tool.

College Prep Tools

Take practice tests for the ACTs and SATs and more; Read the full text of several test preparation books; Research colleges and universities using the College Search tool.
Tip: Do not set tuition limits in the College Search. as it does not reflect any In-State eligibility.

Graduate School Tools

Take practice tests for the GRE, MCAT or LSAT; Read full text test preparation books; Search for graduate school programs. Includes the updated GRE exam

High School Tools

Take practice tests for AP Exams the GED and more; Read online full text test preparation books; Create college resumes with the College Application Resume Builder.

International

Study for TOEFL and US Citizenship exams using practice tests and online test preparation books.
