Notes: A 27-year-old astronomy instructor for Case Tech today was found dead, hanging from a tree limb behind the Sohie Research Lab in Warrensville Heights. The victim, apparently a suicide, according to police, was Gordon Grant, of 2873 Ludlow Rd. He was a member of the Moonbeam Society, a volunteer group which uses the Sohio facilities to track artificial satellites. He had arrived at the lab yesterday afternoon, according to associates, and was in good spirits. He went out to his car around 4:30 and was not seen alive again. Grant's wife, Patricia, said her husband had suffered a "blackout" several years ago. He had been planning to join the University of Illinois in the fall to teach and conduct research. He was described as "extremely brilliant" by Dr. Everett Hughes, manager of the Sohio lab. Mrs. Grant graduated from Western Reserve University Wednesday night.
