Notes: Mrs. Helen Gillingwater. Mrs. Helen Minkley Gillingwater, 85, a former stage actress who began her professional career here, died yesterday in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., according to the Associated Press. Mrs. Gillingwater was at one time the wife of the late Claude Gillingwater, motion picture comedian who died several years ago. A native of Zanesville, O., Mrs. Gillingwater was leading lady for Maurice Barrymore, Edward Everett Horton and other stars and later appeared in stock in Sauanton and Wilkes-Barre. Survivors include a niece, Mrs. Laura Weir, residing in Cleveland.
