Planning for the New Children's and Family Discovery Center

With the completion of TechCentral, the Board of Trustees of the Library has approved work to begin the second phase of planned renovations at the Main Library — the new Children's and Family Discovery Center, which will be located on the second floor of the Louis Stokes Wing. This dedicated space will feature interactive displays and learning activities that the family can enjoy together, reinforcing the belief that learning is a family affair. Through non-traditional displays, the new Center will be designed to inspire children and get them started on solid reading habits early in life.

Recognizing the importance of getting children involved in reading at an early age, the Library nearly doubled the number of storytimes that are offered throughout the system.
