New Direction for Writers & Readers Series

A hallmark of Cleveland Public Library for the past 13 years has been our Writers & Readers series. This program successfully continued in 2012 using a slightly different approach, which included a well-rounded and even non-traditional mix of authors. In an effort to appeal to a more diverse mix of demographics, the Library invited more non-traditional speakers to participate in the program. Political commentators, science writers, mystery authors and even cookbook author Valerie Bertinelli (of Hot in Cleveland fame) participated in this past year's program and effectively attracted a more diverse crowd than in past years.
