1914 Baseball legend Napoleon "Nap" Lajoie, namesake of the Cleveland Naps, became the third player in Major League Baseball history to reach the 3,000 hit mark. The 1914 season was Lajoie's 13th and last with the Cleveland club. Following the 1914 season, the team adopted a new nickname and became the Cleveland Indians.
