West Park Campus Grand Opening Celebration

The reimagined West Park Campus of Cleveland Public Library is reopening to the public with a neighborhood celebration. Saturday, January 7 | 12 p.m.

The grand opening will include balloon twisting, face painting, food, crafts, prizes, live entertainment, and more.

Vocon modernized the West Park Campus while restoring the original charm designed by Cleveland architecture firm Walker and Weeks. The renovation and expansion highlights include:

  • Restoring the original vaulted ceiling and dormers to flood the interior with natural light
  • Restored the architectural beautiful slate roof
  • Activated the lower level to better utilize the building
  • Reopening the original West 157th Street entrance to offer better pedestrian access
  • Improved access to the building’s lower level
  • Flexible spaces with additional meeting rooms, an expanded children’s area, a teen nook, and book lockers for after-hours access to materials.

The West Park Campus project is part of the Library’s plan to build or renovate every neighborhood branch over the next decade. For updates on the construction projects, visit cpl.org.
