Meet Robin Yocum, Author of A Brilliant Death

On Thursday October 26, 2017, Literary Cleveland and Ohio Center for the Book continue Read Ohio with award-winning author Robin Yocum. Yocum will read and discuss his book, the 2017 Edgar® Award-nominated, A Brilliant Death. Read Ohio is an author talk and book discussion series hosted by Literary Cleveland, in partnership with the Ohio Center for the Book at Cleveland Public Library.  It is free and open to the public.

Robin Yocum, whose latest and fourth novel, A Welcome Murder, was released in April, is also the author of the critically acclaimed novels Favorite Sons and The Essay. The president of Yocum Communications, a public relations and marketing firm in Westerville, Ohio, Yocum is well known for his work as a crime and investigative reporter with the Columbus Dispatch from 1980-1991. He was the recipient of more than thirty local, state, and national journalism awards in categories ranging from investigative reporting to feature writing.

Few literary events are as special as an author talk for giving readers insight into the book and, perhaps, the author’s creative process. Participants are welcome to read Yocum’s work in advance or come to experience his writing for the first time and engage in conversation.
