Laura DeMarco Presents Lost Cleveland

The new book Lost Cleveland (Pavilion Books) explores the rise and fall and the enduring spirit of a gritty city. The book features more than 200 Cleveland photos and 65 lost landmarks from the 1800s to today.

On January 27 at Cleveland Public Library, author Laura DeMarco will take guests on a visual and oral tour through Cleveland’s glorious past and the ghosts that inspire us today. DeMarco’s talk will be supplemented by photographs of various entries in the book drawn from the Library’s Photograph Collection.

Lost Cleveland features architectural gems, elegant theaters, famous concert halls and stadiums, grand department stores, and bustling factories that helped turn Cleveland into America’s fifth largest city—and one of its most prosperous.

Copies of Lost Cleveland will be available for purchase, and DeMarco will be available to sign copies after the event.
