Postponed: Author Echo Brown Comes to Cleveland for Girl Power and Humanities Festival

Girl Power! is a local initiative created by Cleveland Public Library, empowering young ladies to step up as community leaders and readers. Friday, April 24, 2020 | 9:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

This year, youth will engage in two of nine breakout sessions on soft life skills, enjoy lunch featuring special activities and conclude the day with keynote speaker Echo Brown, a Cleveland native. Each participant will receive a copy of her debut title, Black Girl Unlimited: The Remarkable Story of a Teenage Wizard.

Breakout session topics include, but are not limited to, Self-Esteem, Financial Literacy, Social-Awareness, Leadership, eSports, Healthy Living, and more.

We hope your school will join Cleveland Public Library for Girl Power, 2020! Previous Girl Power! events were a great success, and we look forward to creating an equally successful event.
