Improving School Performance through Library Programs

“My grandkids know that Wednesday is our library day, and they look forward to coming every week. The Woodland Wonderland room [at Woodland Branch] caters to their different needs. The baby is learning to share, the four-year-old is learning her colors, and my oldest grandson is reinforcing his sight words. That impacted his school performance directly—he did well on a sight word test after spending time here. The kids can be creative with puppet shows, cook-offs and more. I don’t believe the community knows enough about the library and all the programs offered here. I took a CPR class. Tutors come in for the kids. There are so many opportunities.” –Brenda, Woodland Patron
