Homebound Service

The rich collections of the Cleveland Public Library are available to you through Homebound Services, a free, fast and convenient way for homebound patrons to borrow library materials. The service is available to anyone who is unable to get to a library because of age or disability.  A phone call, email, or letter will bring a fresh supply of library materials to your doorstep within a week.

How To Register For Homebound Service

  1. Phone the Homebound Services at 216.623.7005 during regular hours: Monday – Friday, 10:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M.
  2. Register your name with Homebound Services by providing your name, complete address (including zip code) and phone number. Or send a card or letter with your requests to:Homebound ServicesCleveland Public Library5806 Woodland AvenueC/O Mobile Services Department

  3. To be eligible for this service please have your doctor fax (216-623-7116) to Homebound Services a completed Homebound Medical Form.

How To Order:

Contact the Popular Library by phone, email, or U.S. Mail with your requests. You can order a variety of material including books, magazines, music CD’s, DVD’s, and books-on-CD. Most library items are loaned for a three-week period.

How To Return:

Please use the Library’s free return mail service: Place items in their reusable, resealable bag. Call 623-7005 (or email) to arrange for a pick-up. Give your name, complete address, and phone number. Your package will be picked up by the United Parcel Service within a day or two of your call.
