Student success starts with a good plan. Check out these Library resources and services that should be a part of every family’s tool kit for a strong school year.

For All Ages

Juvenile library cards (0-17): Unlock possibilities with your library card – check out books, movies, and music, use library computers, and the TechCentral Maker Space  

Homework help: FREE tutoring and homework assistance for students who need extra help.

Kids Café: Cleveland Public Library and Greater Cleveland Food Bank will provide children 18 and under with Grab & Go meals at all Library locations.

TechCentral: Create in this makerspace at Main! Record music, use our 3D printer or laser engraver, create T-shirts with our vinyl cutter and printer, and more.

For Teens

Best Buy Teen Tech Center: In partnership with Best Buy, Cleveland Public Library-Rockport Branch opened the Best Buy Teen Tech Center to train and mentor teens for tech-reliant jobs in the future

Test/Career Prep: With a library card, teens can access the Testing & Education Reference Center which includes resources like practice tests and scholarship search tools.

For Kids

Storytime: Kids 0-8 years old can discover the joys of reading through storytime.

Young Scholars Academy: A free program to prepare your child for kindergarten through activities like singing, reading, writing, and playing.

Take-And-Make Crafts: These kits, designed with young children in mind, allow you to make something special at home with your little one.

Resources for Educators

Lesson Plans: Educators can access free lesson plan resources for students K-12 in areas such as Reading, Math, Science, and Social Studies.

Educator Library Card: Teachers from public and private, parochial, and charter schools as well as licensed childcare centers can apply annually for a Cleveland Public Library Educator Card.

YRead? Book Sets: Multiple copies of quality titles for use by educators in the classroom. The titles selected are for Kindergarten through High School students.
