My name is Owen Rodemann. I am sixteen years old, born and raised in Cleveland, and have been homeschooled. I became involved in the Cleveland Print Room through an instant photography class. The Cleveland Print Room’s teachers took me under their wing after seeing my work at Cudell Fine Arts. They invited me to a film class, which led to digital photography classes at Cuyahoga Community College. Now, film has become my main focus. My art is inspired by historical events and my journey as an artist.

“What got me interested in the project is the history and the beauty of my hometown. I wanted to help preserve the history of Cleveland and the people who live here. I learned so much through this project; about the culture, the people who live here, and the beauty that goes unseen.”
