150 Years Through the Eyes of the Staff

Historic photo of Sterling Branch with people standing out frontThe 150-year history of the Cleveland Public Library could be told through a chronological journey of dates, names, and physical locations. But the Library’s story is more than a timeline. The story is to be found in the “books, information and service” provided by staff over the years.

Cleveland Public Library has always kept its institutional records, including documents and letters written by staff, carefully preserved in its archives. This is the Library’s story told through their words.

The exhibit The Life and Legacy of John G. White can be viewed on the third floor.
