Visual artist Phoebe Beasley (1943 -) was commissioned to design inaugural artwork for President Bill Clinton and President George Bush. Her artwork was featured in the homes of Oprah Winfrey, Dr. Maya Angelou, and Tyler Perry. Beasley was interviewed by The HistoryMakers on April 18, 2007, and November 18, 2019, in Los Angeles, California and Santa Monica, California.
