Airplane pilot Dorothy McIntyre (1917 – 2015) was one of the first African-American female licensed pilots. During World War II she taught aircraft mechanics at the War Production Training School in Baltimore, Maryland. McIntyre was interviewed by The HistoryMakers® on June 18, 2004, in Cleveland, Ohio.
