Samuel V. Perry Papers

Samuel V. Perry (1895-1968) was a Cleveland, Ohio, parole officer, City Streets Department clerk, and information consultant who was involved in safety education and the legal affairs of the African-American community. The collection consist of correspondence, material relating to the court case Haring v. Gist, papers on the American legal system and African Americans, an outline for a teacher’s textbook on safety education, and plans for an adult education program
