Press Conference with Carl B. Stokes, Mayor of Cleveland
Mayor John V. Lindsay is joined, in this press conference, by Carl B. Stokes, Mayor of Cleveland, Ohio. They discuss Stokes visit and his plans to establish a Criminal Justice Coordinating Council, which will be modeled after the council in New York City.
Before this trip, Stokes was in Washington D.C. to testify before Congress on the Safe Streets Act. Lindsay and Stokes report that the money allotted is not adequate for their cities. Stokes asserts that funding for domestic policies should be prioritized over space exploration and Lindsay argues that domestic funding should be prioritized above military spending and the Vietnam War.
