National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, Cleveland Branch

The  National Association for the Advancement of Colored People  (NAACP) is a social and political action organization founded in 1912 as a Cleveland, Ohio, branch of the NAACP. Its purpose is to oppose racial inequalities in civil and political rights. The collection consists of reports, minutes, office files, financial records, newspaper clippings, brochures, pamphlets, broadsides, speeches, news releases and insurance policies.
