Making Comics with Matthew Horak

Matt Horak is a cartoonist and designer headquartered at EarthQuaker Devices in Akron, Ohio. Along with providing artwork for EQD pedals and merchandise, he is also the artist for Spider-man/Deadpool at Marvel Comics. Past projects include artist for Marvel’s The Punisher, Rob Liefeld’s The Covenant from Image, Co-creator of Dr. Crowe and Space Stepdad, and writer and artist of Octo Skull from EarthQuaker Comics, based on EQD’s line of effects pedals.


Making Comics with Nicole Boose

Nicole started working in comics at Harris Comics in the late 90s, then joined Marvel’s editorial staff from 2003 to 2008, editing titles including Iron Man, Cable & Deadpool, and Stephen King adaptations. Since then, Nicole has done freelance editing work in the comics industry, most notably with Mark Millar’s Millarworld comics, and served on the staff of Comics Experience, a company offering online courses and workshops for comic creators. She enjoys combining her comics background with her interest in education.
