Cleveland Public Library to Provide Free Food for Children and Families

Cleveland Public Library is feeding more than minds this summer. The Library’s summer meals program begins this week.

In partnership with the Greater Cleveland Food Bank, we are offering FREE meal packages to children and families. There are no eligibility requirements other than age for youth-specific options. Meals will be served at our neighborhood branch libraries from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Meals are available while supplies last.

Cleveland Public Library Meals Program includes

  • Kids’ Café available at all branches: Nutritious grab-and-go meals for kids and teens, ages 18 and under.
  • Backpack Meals at select locations: A two-day supply of meals for youth, ages 18 and under. Backpack meals include two breakfasts, two entrees, and two snacks.
  • Family Food Boxes at select locations: Adults and families may pick up a 20–30-pound box of non-perishable dry goods including milk, pasta, rice, and canned goods such as fruit and tuna.
