Cleveland Public Library Implements Changes As COVID-19 Cases Rise in Cuyahoga County

Due to the recent increase in COVID-19 cases across the county, Cleveland Public Library is making changes to protect staff and visitors. Starting Saturday, November 21, all Library buildings will close to the public. Curbside and walk-up services will still be available.

Other Library service changes include:

  • Starting Saturday, November 28, Cleveland Public Library will be closed on Saturdays except for the downtown drive-up window.
  • The Louis Stokes Wing drive-up window will maintain its current hours: Monday – Friday, 7AM – 7PM and Saturday, 10AM – 6PM.

These operational changes are in response to the Cuyahoga County Board of Health’s stay-at-home advisory. The Library encourages visitors to wear face coverings and follow social distancing guidelines when picking up materials. All returns should be placed in the book drops.

Patrons can call their neighborhood branch or utilize the ASK CPL chat feature on cpl.org to get answers to their reference questions. ASK CPL is available Monday – Saturday from 10AM – 6PM.

Clevelanders can order their next read, movie, or audiobook on cpl.org. Need a Library card? Apply for one today.
