Cleveland Public Library Celebrates New Woodland Branch

Cleveland Public Library marks a new beginning in the Central neighborhood of Cleveland.

Woodland Branch of Cleveland Public Library
5806 Woodland Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44104
Saturday, June 26 | 10:30 a.m.

Library leadership, city and community leaders, and other dignitaries will break ground on the new Woodland Branch at its current site at East 55th Street and Woodland Avenue.

The Woodland Branch groundbreaking ceremony is the second of four events planned over the next month. It’s part of the Cleveland Public Library’s 10-year plan to build or renovate branch libraries to enhance the visitor experience.

Bostwick Design Partnership and Ubiquitous Design Ltd. are spearheading the Woodland Branch project which will create a community plaza to serve the neighborhood and a central distribution facility to improve library efficiency. The new branch will be more spacious, vibrant, and accessible to pedestrians, bicyclists, and drivers. The building will have more windows, modern furnishings, and meeting rooms to accommodate small and large groups.
