Walter L. Brown (1871-1950) was one of the first African Americans in Cleveland, Ohio, to be active in the Democratic Party. The collection consists of a scrapbook containing newspaper clippings, letters, and mementos pertaining to Brown’s involvement with the Democratic Party. Included is correspondence from Harris R. Cooley, Thomas Fleming, Tom L. Johnson, and Robert J. Bulkley.
