Cleveland Public Library is pleased to announce that library services at Carnegie West will resume when the branch reopens to the public on Wednesday, October 17, 2018. Carnegie West Branch closed for repairs on August 20, 2018 as part of a larger capital improvement project, which will help ensure Cleveland Public Library can best serve community members well into the future.
Patrons and community members are invited to attend a reception at Carnegie West Branch on Saturday, October 27 from 11:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. to enjoy entertainment and refreshments in celebration of the branch’s reopening.
Completed repairs to Carnegie West Branch include:
- ADA accessibility updates
- Restrooms
- Ramp
- Signage
- Handrails
- Drinking fountain
- Wall repairs
- HVAC upgrades
- A/C
- Heaters
- Insulation
- Piping
- Air pumps and handlers
- New foyer flooring
While Carnegie West was closed, the nearby Lorain and Fulton branch libraries served patrons.
