"Cleveland Public Library is needed more today than ever before because it is critical to the future of Cleveland and Northeast Ohio."
—Cleveland Councilman Joe Cimperman, 3rd Ward

"Due to its proximity, the Main Library will be at the center of all the exciting changes planned for downtown Cleveland. As a Councilman, I see the Library providing so many valuable services. Not only is it a place where people can learn new things and technologies, but it also serves as a neutral meeting place where people can gather to express opinions and resolve issues regardless of their political inclinations.

"I am a product of the Cleveland Public Library system. I grew up near two of its branches and spent my summers in various reading clubs. It was, and is still today, an amazing place to explore and learn things. The Library taught me that asking questions is okay and stroked my desire to learn more. As the world changes, Americans need knowledge in order to stay informed and competitive with other countries. I firmly believe I wouldn't be where I am today if not for Cleveland Public Library."
