The following Trumbull County Libraries are joining CLEVNET: Bristol Public Library, Girard Free Library, Hubbard Public Library, Kinsman Free Public Library, McKinley Memorial Library, and Newton Falls Public Library. This makes CLEVNET a consortium of 37 library systems across 10 counties in Northeast Ohio, providing their patrons with shared access to more than ten million items, exclusive online subscription resources, and a rich collection of downloadable materials including eBooks and music.

“We are excited to expand the CLEVNET network with these additional libraries,” said Felton Thomas, Executive Director of CPL. “CLEVNET allows small and large libraries to share resources, books, and items that some patrons may never have access to o
therwise. The collective savings between libraries is phenomenal and is truly a collaboration of shared services.”

In 2009, respected economic analysts Driscoll & Fleeter completed a study designed to, among other things, quantify return on investment for CLEVNET libraries. The study revealed a number of favorable results. Specifically, there was a collective cost savings of more than $30 million because  these libraries could share cataloging services, administration, computer equipment and professional support, as well as to consolidate circulation. The savings translates into an average $6 return for every dollar invested by CLEVNET libraries. More than one million library cardholders from Sandusky to Fairport Harbor to Wooster have benefited from CLEVNET resources.
