Cleveland sculptor Scott Stibich explores the concept of figure ground in an intriguing installation currently in the Eastman Reading Garden. The exhibit invites garden visitors to experience a space when nothing is changed but the addition of a bold color. It offers a playful challenge to our senses and awareness sensitivities. While you are visiting the Main Library come to the Fine Arts Department to peruse books on artists who made interesting use of illusionary and figure ground themes such as Salvador Dali, M.C.Escher and others. And maybe browse books that will help you choose the right lively color for your summer interior design project. The installation will conclude October 15th, 2012.
