    BooksOn Exhibit - 3rd Floor Main Library, Fine Arts & Special Collections

    Cleveland Public Library is proud to host this unique exhibit of vintage World War I posters bequeathed to the San Antonio Public Library. The posters use the lithograph medium to feature famous images of patriotic themes and messages that reflect the beginnings of the American effort to support the “War to end all wars”.     Also on display: The Photograph Collection at the Cleveland Public Library has over 1500 movie and war posters that include materials from World War I and II, the Russian Revolution, the Great Lakes Exposition and motion pictures. Concurrent with the Winds of War exhibition, the Photograph Collection will have on view World War I posters specific to Cleveland and Northeast Ohio including the Women’s Land Army of America, the United States Navy and Liberty Bonds.
